Use this page to collect seller product information in a clean format during launch. Good product data makes search, filters, categories, prices, variations, and delivery easier to manage.
Required product fields
These fields help Kakuma Market Online list products consistently and avoid confusion.
seller_id
Unique ID for each seller. Example: S001
seller_name
Business or seller name. Example: Amina Kitchen
seller_phone
Seller WhatsApp/contact number.
seller_location
Location, area, block, or landmark.
product_id
Unique product ID. Example: P001
product_name
Clear product/service name. Example: Rice, Phone charger, Uniform repair.
category
Use the category guide: Food, Electronics, Tailoring, etc.
description
Short description of the product/service.
base_price_ksh
Starting or exact price in Kenya shillings.
unit_or_size
Unit such as 1kg, 2kg, 1 piece, 1 hour, service.
variations
Size, color, weight, model, condition, or service level.
stock_status
Available, low stock, out of stock, by appointment, pre-order.
delivery_available
Yes, No, or Sometimes.
photo_filename
Photo file name or link. Example: rice.jpg
verified_status
Pending, verified, featured, suspended.
last_updated
Date price/stock was last checked.
admin_notes
Private notes for the marketplace team.

Collection tips
- ✓Use one row for each product or service.
- ✓Use clear prices and write “From KSh” where price varies.
- ✓Write variations clearly: size, color, weight, model, condition.
- ✓Update stock and prices weekly during launch.
- ✓Keep seller phone/location data private unless seller agrees to public listing.

When you visit sellers, collect their product data using this format. Later, the same fields can become the database for the admin dashboard.
