To protect buyers, sellers, delivery youth, and the community, Kakuma Market Online should not list unsafe, illegal, stolen, fake, or harmful products and services.
Items and services not allowed
This list should be shared with all sellers before they are verified.
Stolen or suspicious items
No stolen phones, stolen bicycles, stolen clothes, stolen food items, or anything with unclear ownership.
Illegal drugs or unsafe medicines
No illegal drugs, fake medicines, expired medicine, prescription drugs sold without proper permission, or unsafe health products.
Weapons and dangerous items
No weapons, ammunition, explosives, or items intended to harm people.
Unsafe food
No spoiled food, expired food, contaminated food, or food prepared in unsafe conditions.
Fake or counterfeit products
No fake branded electronics, fake chargers, counterfeit cosmetics, or products pretending to be original when they are not.
Fraudulent services
No fake jobs, fake scholarships, fake documents, fake resettlement promises, or services that exploit people.
Human exploitation
No trafficking, forced labor, sexual exploitation, child exploitation, or any service that harms vulnerable people.
Private data misuse
No selling or sharing private phone numbers, photos, documents, IDs, or recipient information without permission.
Harmful or prohibited goods
No items banned by law, humanitarian rules, camp regulations, or community safety standards.
If a seller lists a prohibited item
- ✓The listing should be removed immediately.
- ✓The seller should be warned, suspended, or removed depending on seriousness.
- ✓Customers should be protected and informed where necessary.
- ✓Serious safety issues should be reported to the appropriate trusted authority or protection channel.
Seller responsibility
- ✓Only list products or services you truly provide.
- ✓Be honest about quality, condition, size, and price.
- ✓Do not hide risks or defects from buyers.
- ✓Ask the marketplace admin if you are not sure whether an item is allowed.
Report unsafe listings
If a buyer, seller, or community member sees a suspicious or unsafe listing, they should report it through the official WhatsApp number.
